Climb Mount Kilimanjaro (19,341 ft) via the scenic Rongai Route – the only trail approaching from the north near the Kenyan border. This 7-day trek offers a less crowded path, breathtaking wilderness, and stunning summit views of Uhuru Peak – the Roof of Africa.
About Mt. Kilimanjaro Climb
Take on the Rongai Route 7-day itinerary for the best balance of scenic beauty and acclimatization. Starting from the northern slopes, this trail is quieter than the southern approaches and passes through lush forests, high moorland, and alpine desert landscapes. We spend an extra day at Mawenzi Tarn to aid acclimatization and enjoy breathtaking views of Mawenzi’s jagged peaks. Crossing the lunar-like Saddle between Mawenzi and Kibo, we prepare for the final ascent. The summit push starts at midnight, climbing steadily under the stars to reach Uhuru Peak at sunrise—a truly unforgettable experience. After celebrating at the top of Africa, we descend through Marangu’s scenic rainforests to complete the adventure.
